A holiday or a weekend of camping in the Verdon

If you're looking for natural beauty, you've come to the right place. We might be biased, but we fully believe that Lac d'Esparron and Lac de Sainte Croix are the most beautiful lakes in Provence! Between the Alpes-de-Haute Provence and the Var, these lakes have a huge expanse of clear water, with the heady scent of lavender, thyme and rosemary mingling in the background. Esparron-de-Verdon is a village located between Manosque and the entrance to the Gorges du Sud Verdon. Perched high on a rock, this is the kind of picture-perfect village you've seen in old movies, with charming old houses and beautiful views over the deep valleys, mighty plateaus and the Lac d'Esparron. Just 5 km away, you'll find the basses-gorges du Verdon. Make sure you've packed your swimsuit because there are inland beaches beneath its limestone cliffs, as well as caves begging to be explored, where you can take a dip. This is an area made for family fun. Take a chilled-out boat cruise, go swimming, enjoy a tasty picnic or go for a stroll under sunny skies, with temperatures ranging from 22 to 26° in the summer.

If you're an adrenaline junkie, then these gorges are the place for you. Strap on your climbing shoes, as there are rocks galore for you to tackle. Not keen on heights? No problem! Try hiking or adventure courses, while the most daring can embark on an epic canyoning expedition. Of course, you could just spend the afternoon lazing around the campsite swimming pool - we won't tell! For some amazing landscapes, take the road that passes through the villages of Rougon and La Palud-sur-Verdon, where you'll find panoramic views that wouldn't be out of place in the Alps.

Have a great camping holiday in the Verdon!
