Set in the charming, family-friendly seaside resort of Aiguillon-sur-Mer and just 900m from a water sports centre and swimming lake, the site offers a range of fun outdoor activities for all ages and tastes. A number of footpaths and cycle routes lead directly from the site to the Atlantic beaches just 2 km away. Further afield, you can while away the hours strolling around the local market and admiring the boats in the local marina or head out to explore La Pointe d’Arçay headland, Aiguillon-sur-Mer Nature Reserve or the Marais Poitevin, a veritable “Green Venice”. A holiday in southern Vendée – what could be more natural!

A day at the O'gliss water park. A short 20-minute drive from the campsite, it promises water slides, flumes and pools galore – a great place to relax and unwind!

Take to the water at the Atlantic Wakepark. This water sports and activity park a short 10-minute walk from the campsite offers a host of activities for all the family around the lake including cable skiing, wakeboarding, water skiing and kneeboarding as well as the chance to try out the Splash Game, a giant inflatable obstacle course. A real water sports paradise, it offers something for everyone, young and old alike.

A walk to the Pointe de l'Aiguillon. This sandy headland that marks the southern tip of the Vendée coastline and offers breath-taking countryside the Atlantic on one side, the Sèvre Niortaise estuary and the Marais Poitevin on the other.
Walking/cycling route
A cycle ride around the Pointe d’Arcay headland. Set between the sea and the river estuary, this signposted 12km route that changes with the tides takes in the Faute-sur-Mer peninsula where you can admire the River Lay, La Casse de la Belle-Henriette Nature Reserve, the Pointe d'Arçay headland and some beautiful, sandy beaches. Start at La Casse de la Belle Henriette with its characteristic wetland flora and fauna before making your way along the River Lay. Set between the sea and the woods, this is an area of remarkable biodiversity. A recognised greenway it is accessible to all.
Driving route
Drive the Route des Vins de Vendée. This 60km-long wine circuit through the vineyards of Vendée offers the chance to sample some delicious AOC du Pays de Mareuil wines and visit some of the local châteaux. It all starts at Mareuil-sur-Lay-Dissais, where you can take a boat trip on the River Lay before heading for the Conservatoire de la Négrette, a centre dedicated to this heritage wine variety, now all but disappeared. Back in Aiguillon-sur-Mer, you can tour the cellars of one of the local Pays Mareuillais winegrowers and, of course, taste some of their wines!
