Set in the heart of the Loire valley amid 11 acres of parkland and bordered on either side by the river Loire, the campsite makes a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Just 15 minutes’ walk from the historic centre of Saumur with its rich, year-round programme of cultural and artistic events, you’re also ideally placed to visit the château, one of the most emblematic in the Loire valley, or marvel at the riders of the famous Cadre Noir.

Cédric has been trained in environmental responsibility and is committed to the continuous and progressive improvement of his practices. The campsite has now been awarded the Green Key label and offers the following initiatives in particular:

  • Late mowing and leaving unmown areas to preserve biodiversity
  • Working with the Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux (Bird Protection League) to arrange events
  • A partnership with BTS Tourisme de Saumur on the theme of Sensitive Natural Spaces
  • Choosing eco-friendly suppliers for hygiene, maintenance and design products
  • Good waste management with sorting and composting facilities
