Every week during the season, Pilar and Gérard invite a wine producer to La Verte Vallée to give an introduction to the subtle flavours of the famous wines of Alsace. This short talk and tasting on site are followed by a prize draw. Throughout the rest of the year you can visit the campsite’s partner vineyard, the Cave Meyer-Krumb at nearby Sigolsheim and you’ll also find a range of local wines on sale on site in the shop and restaurant.

La Verte Vallée sits 750m above sea level in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Natural Park and just 10 minutes from the slopes at La Bresse and Gérardmer. Ideal for families and for experienced skiers who prefer a natural, unspoilt setting.

A restful night at La Verte Vallée is the perfect preparation for touring the Vosges mountains and the vineyards of Alsace. Make sure you stop at Colmar, a beautiful town in the heart of winegrowing country famed for its timber-framed houses, and take in the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg, an impressive fortress perched high above the Alsatian vineyards. After a busy day’s exploring, take it easy at the campsite where you can park your bike right outside your rental accommodation or tent. Set on the banks of the Lac de Longemer, the campsite offers canoe, kayak and stand-up paddle board rental – everything you need to enjoy an outing on the water with family, friends or your significant other. You’ll love the peace and quiet and the stunning views of the green and verdant Vosges. For the less adventurous, the nearby water sports centre also has a fleet of pedalos for hire. There’s no better place to get back to nature and enjoy the pleasures of the water.

Fraispertuis-City | Are your kids looking for thrills and spills while you long for a little peace and tranquillity? Pilar and Gérard’s campsite offers the chance to stay in the heart of the Vallée des Lacs in the Vosges but close to the Fraispertuis-City theme park. Ideal for a gravity-defying day out for all the family, the park is just a 50-minute drive from the campsite. And, as your heart rate returns to normal, how about exploring the three lakes that surround the town of Gérardmer – an area of outstanding natural beauty. You’ll find something for everyone here, and the perfect recipe for the holiday of a lifetime!

A whole network of cycle paths and trails suitable for all the family radiate over plain and mountain from the campsite. These sign-posted circuits wind through the lovely local countryside to various lakes – Gérardmer, Longemer, Lispach, Retournemer and Blanchemer: all beautiful, unspoiled and perfect for swimming and water sports – and up into the Vosges with their wonderful views over the valley. And don’t forget, we’re an accredited ‘Accueil vélo’ campsite, your guarantee of quality!
