4 star Campsite on the Ile de Ré at Loix, 750m away from the beach, with heated outdoor pool, water slide, jacuzzi, kids’ club, camping pitches, rentals, canvas bungalows, mobile homes and cottages.
Camping Les Ilates, Île de Ré - Loix en Ré, the perfect island hideaway.
A narrow lane winds through the salt marshes to Loix. It may be the smallest village and the smallest port on the Île de Ré, but it’s also the most secluded. And it has so much to offer: the fresh water of the pool and jacuzzi and the salt waters off the gently curving beach; the colourful market displays of fruit, vegetables and fish; the narrow village streets with their characteristic wallflowers and pastel greens. And why not try a little beach gleaning for some tasty seafood or a gentle cycle ride around the island?
The + points
The peace and quiet at the end of the Loix peninsula.
The generous, hedged pitches.

" I love: Loix is a little off the beaten track in Ile de Re - but the campsite is perfect for those wanting a wind down - easy cycling access to Ars and St Martin - great campsite, very friendly and accommodating staff, good pool and the artisan village is a great asset. "
" I love: Pitch 37 was perfect for us as good shade. "
" I love: Lovely welcome, excellent site "
" I love: Lovely small site. Footbal pitch was great for our children. "
" I love: Well run campsite, kids love the pool and Loix is a great part of the island. Really impressed by the biathlon organised by Lucas. "
