Go wild in nature around Fréjus
To the west of Fréjus, discover the playground of the Massif des Maures. This small mountain range stretches for 60 km along the coast of the Var, going all the way to Hyères. Just 15 km from Fréjus, don't miss taking a closer look at the Rocher de Roquebrune-sur-Argens. At an altitude of 376 m, this rock offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Argens plain. This natural area is on Grande Randonnée Trail 51, which allows you to walk around the rock and climb the ridges for even more adventure.
Fans of hiking will find plenty to keep them busy in the Massif des Maures — and if you prefer to go by car, you can do that, too! Stop for lunch in picturesque Provençal villages like Plan-de-La-Tour, La Garde-Freinet or Collobrières, and tuck into delicious local cuisine. Keep an eye on the calendar — you just might be able to visit the vineyard and wine festival! Indulge in chestnut wine, a regional speciality. When you've had enough, it's time to go hiking.
