Welcome to the Côte d'Azur, the French Riviera. This is a beautiful part of the country for a camping trip — and Fréjus is an absolute gem. Nestled between the Maures and Estérel massifs, this city has more than 2,000 years of history. Don't worry, though — it's not all dusty old ruins! You'll find theme parks, attractions and all the amenities of a family resort. What could be better for your camping trip? With the seaside and countryside to explore, as well as the plain of Argens and the Gulf of Fréjus-Saint Raphaël, you'll never get bored. Hit the beach, try the French sport of petanque in the shade of the campsite, or go mountain biking through beautiful Estérel. The choice is yours!

Discover the remarkable heritage of Fréjus

Your mobile home near Fréjus will soon become your base for a voyage of discovery. This city has a rich blend of Roman, medieval and modern architecture. Take a stroll under the warm Var sunshine, and unearth the hidden gems of the town of Fréjus.

The Fréjus Roman amphitheatre is the town's most famous sight, dating all the way back to the first century. Today, it's been restored as a venue and can hold up to 5,000 spectators. Still, it's not the only piece of Roman history you'll see around town. Look out for the theatre, the aqueduct, the gates and more.

More history can be seen in the episcopal zone of Fréjus. Check out the cathedral, the baptistery, the cloister and the episcopal palace, which has now been converted into the town hall. Stunning architecture awaits you!

Your journey through time continues to the 17th and 18th centuries. Take a look at the "Belle Époque" villas, hotels and mansions. Chic and elegant, these beautiful buildings add to the town's charm. No wonder it's considered one of the best destinations on the Côte d'Azur!

Enjoy the seaside in Fréjus

If history's not your thing, then head to the beach! Choose between Fréjus-Plage, Port-Fréjus, Base Nature beach and Saint-Aygulf beach. With lifeguards on duty, as well as a huge range of water sports, entertainment, restaurants and more, your day at the seaside is going to be perfect. If you get tired of lounging on the golden sand, enjoy a nature walk in the Villepey ponds or along the Argens river.

What's the best way to explore the Var coast? Why not take the coastal path, running from Saint-Raphaël to Cannes? Along the way, you'll find charming little coves and beautiful sandy beaches. Top spots include Veillat, Corniche d'Or, Île d'Or and Cap Dramont, Agay Harbour and the Anthéor coves.

Want to spend the day rubbing shoulders with the glitterati? Saint-Tropez is just around the corner, making it ideal for a glamorous day trip. Along the way, be sure to stop at Sainte-Maxime, Port Grimaud or Port Cogolin for even more excitement.

After a long day at the beach, it's time to relax! Head back to your campsite and chill out with a glass of wine on the terrace of your mobile home. The perfect end to the perfect day!

Go wild in nature around Fréjus

To the west of Fréjus, discover the playground of the Massif des Maures. This small mountain range stretches for 60 km along the coast of the Var, going all the way to Hyères. Just 15 km from Fréjus, don't miss taking a closer look at the Rocher de Roquebrune-sur-Argens. At an altitude of 376 m, this rock offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Argens plain. This natural area is on Grande Randonnée Trail 51, which allows you to walk around the rock and climb the ridges for even more adventure.

Fans of hiking will find plenty to keep them busy in the Massif des Maures — and if you prefer to go by car, you can do that, too! Stop for lunch in picturesque Provençal villages like Plan-de-La-Tour, La Garde-Freinet or Collobrières, and tuck into delicious local cuisine. Keep an eye on the calendar — you just might be able to visit the vineyard and wine festival! Indulge in chestnut wine, a regional speciality. When you've had enough, it's time to go hiking. The Col de Boulin and Col de Taillude trail gives you a unique view of the massif, the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Monastery of Notre-Dame de Clémence de La Verne.

To the east of Fréjus, there's even more to enjoy. Here, you'll find the Estérel Massif, offering great views across the Mediterranean Sea. Spread across the municipalities of Saint-Raphaël, Fréjus, Bagnols-en-Forêt and Adrets-de-l'Estérel, the massif is known for its natural beauty and stunning red rocks. This is the perfect spot for hikers, mountain bikers and even horse riders!

Whether on a bike, by foot or on your trusty horse — it's time to get exploring! Check out some thrilling sights, like Pic de l'Ours, the Saint-Barthélémy rock, Cap du Dramont, Mont Vinaigre, the Perthus and Malinfernet ravines, and the gorges of Blavet. Best of all is the Pic du Cap Roux hike, with incredible views across the wide blue sea.

Exhausted after a day of hiking? Head back to the campsite to take a dip in the swimming pool or enjoy a leisurely dinner at the restaurant. Every day is an adventure during your Fréjus holiday!
