Campsites in the north of France set between the Somme and Authie estuaries

The rest of the Picardy coastline also has much to offer including the fishing ports of Le Crotoy, Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme and Le Hourdel, the Belle Epoque spa town of Mers-les-Bains and the sea cliffs of Le Tréport Bay on the Normandy shore.

Just to the north of your campsite in the Somme Estuary, close to the borders with Picardie and Nord-Pas-de-Calais, the estuary of the River Authie lies between Fort-Mahon-Plage and Berck-Plage. These seaside towns boast huge sandy beaches and the invigorating sea air of the English Channel. In other words, a veritable paradise of wind and waves ideal for sand yachting, kite flying and kite surfing. The Authie Estuary itself is a nature reserve with a varied flora and fauna destined to fascinate young and old alike.

The Bresle valley, in the heart of the Picardy countryside yet close to the sea

A camping holiday in the Somme Estuary provides the ideal opportunity to explore the southern Picardie coast and the Bresle valley between the Somme Bay and the Alabaster Coast. This small but colourful area, a mixture of coast and unspoilt countryside, offers much to see and do including the Belle Époque seaside town of Mers-les-Bains and the lovely sea cliffs of the Baie du Tréport in neighbouring Normandy. Finally, a trip inland up the Bresle valley through the legendary Eu Forest will reveal a number of lakes ideal for fishing and water sports with all the family.
