Located close to the Lac de Rouffiac and its outdoor activity centre in the heart of the verdant Pays de Lanouaille, the site is ideal for a fun, relaxing holiday or weekend break and offers the chance to try your hand at various sporting activities. On site, you can relax and have fun with friends and family. Close close by you’ll find the activity centre with its woodland adventure course, water sports and swimming. Further afield, you can visit the charming local villages with their characteristic architecture and sample some of the local culinary specialities.

The caves at Lascaux II. Visit this perfect facsimile of the world-famous Lascaux caves with the help of the latest technology. You will be accompanied throughout your visit by an interactive tablet that guides you through the history of the Palaeolithic period. Meanwhile, the International Parietal Art Centre offers an interesting visit, a 3D film and a temporary exhibition.
Walking/cycling route
Close to the site, you’ll find signposts for the Grange Ovalaire walk. Starting from the village of Chaud, this circular routes takes you through local woodland as well as the apple orchards and walnut that abound in the area.
Driving route
A half-day tour of the Grotte de Tourtoirac caves and the Château de Hautefort. Visit the underground river flowing through the caves and its stalactites and stalagmites. A medieval fortress renovated in the 17C, the Château de Hautefort underwent further development in the 19C when the Count of Choulot created its lovely French gardens and English-style park. Evening festivities every Wednesday evening in summer.
