The Pyrenees, a land of lush nature
To discover the Pyrenees, nothing beats staying at one of our campsites in Occitania. They will put you in the immediate vicinity of the most beautiful tourist sites and hiking trails. You can also crisscross the region to discover the picturesque villages of the Pyrenees. Lovers of architecture will be charmed by the many Romanesque churches, stone houses and balcony gardens, which offer views of the mountains.
Green forests, lakes with a thousand shades of blue and refreshing waterfalls will be your playground during your vacation. The Pyrenean massif has a wealth of features to inspire visitors, with varied, beautiful fauna and flora. You will have the chance to observe wild animals, including marmots, squirrels, ibexes and, if you’re lucky, even golden eagles.
Discover the mythical peaks of the Pyrenees
Book your holiday at one of our campsites in the Pyrenees and set off on an adventure on this incredible massif stretching from the Basque Country to the Pyrenees Orientales. You will find hikes that are suitable for all levels. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced walker, lace up your boots and set off to discover the most beautiful peaks. For example, the Pic du Midi de Bigorre is accessible on foot or by the Mongie cable car. The Spanish border is also very close, and you can easily get there by driving through the mythical passes by car or by taking a hiking route like the Cirque de Gavarnie or the Brèche de Roland.
A heritage of crafts and agro-pastoral charm
The sound of herd bells will be the background music for your holiday. Every summer, the valleys of the Pyrenees are home to many grazing animals. Don’t hesitate to say hello to the local shepherds. Not only will you meet some nice people, but you’ll also discover some excellent cheeses!
Many craftsmen also live in the Pyrenees, working mainly with natural materials. Making remarkable pieces from wood, stone, or even glass, these craftsmen will be happy to share their passions with you. You might even be able to leave with one of their unique creations.
Wellness holidays
For a summer holiday away from the crowds, consider the Pyrenees. Our campsites welcome you to the heart of nature, where you can enjoy a refreshing stay and a wellness-focused holiday combining outdoor activities and the pleasure of spa resorts. Cauterets, Argelès-Gazost and Bagnères-de-Bigorre are all destinations offering thermal spas in an unparalleled environment.
