Located in Carcans, close to Lacanau in the Landes du Médoc, the campsite offers peace and quiet in spacious grounds dotted with oaks and sweet chestnuts. Your children can play and swim in the gentle waters of the Lac de Carcans-Hourtin, France’s largest freshwater lake, just 5km from the site. Or you can head out to the beaches of Carcans-Plage (10km) for a spot of surfing or body-boarding on the invigorating Atlantic rollers. Whatever your preference, the Médoc coast awaits in all its beauty.

Keen motorcyclists for more than a decade, the owners of Le Médoc Bleu are only to pleased to welcome bikers at their site in Carcans in the Médoc so you can be sure of a warm and friendly welcome. They provide facilities for drying your boots and leathers and a large covered area where you can leave your bikes for the night. Close by you’ll find a number of places of interest including the Lac de Carcans, the châteaux of the Médoc and the city of Bordeaux. Make Carcans a stop on your next touring holiday!

Bike

Flower’s Le Médoc Bleu at Carcans offers peace and quiet in a spacious site dotted with oaks and chestnut trees. The ideal stopover site for a cycle touring holiday, it provides a storage building with a large awning which serves as a shelter. You’ll also find the Vélodyssée long-distance cycle route and numerous other cycle paths close to the campsite. It’s time to get on your bike and set out along the coastline of the beautiful Landes – there’s no better way to explore the area!

Water sports

A walk around the Etang de Cousseau and surrounding nature reserve. You can even take a canoe, pedalo or paddle board out on the lake at Maubuisson. Take a day trip to the Dune du Pyla and the Bassin d'Arcachon. A boat trip on the Bassin d'Arcachon from Cap Ferret taking in the Ile aux Oiseaux and the cabanes tchanquées, wooden huts on stilts once used by oyster farmers.
