A camping holiday in Aveyron will unlock the door to this fascinating region where three rivers – the Lot, the Aveyron and the Tarn – combine to create a unique and unusual landscape. Try a camping holiday in the Aveyron, so full of surprises
The Aveyron is a fascinating place to visit with so much to see: Aubrac, the Aveyron and Tarn gorges, the Lot valley, the Ségala, the Lacaune Hills, the Larzac plateau... Why not try a camping holiday in the Aveyron in the Rouergue, to the west of the department, where you can explore the famous bastide towns of Najac, Rieupeyroux, Sauveterre- and Villefranche-de-Rouergue? Further north you’ll find the Carladez, a natural plateau close to the Truyère gorges which marks the gateway to the Auvergne and offers views of the Cantal Hills.

The Aveyron offers some wonderful walking country, full of sign-posted walks and trails designed to help you explore the beautiful countryside around your campsite in the Aveyron. You'll find woodland scattered with strange granite boulders, the craggy contours of the Montagne Noire and the Lacaune Hills, the limestone plateaux of the Grands Causses and the rolling Aubrac pastureland.

East of Aveyron, take a drive through the stunning Tarn Gorges towards the Cévennes and admire the grandiose natural spectacle that awaits you at the base of the limestone bluffs of the Causse de Sauveterre and the Causse Méjean plateaus. A campsite in Aveyron also makes a great place from which to admire the view from the top of Millau Viaduct or explore the depths of the Roquefort caves, just two of Aveyron’s unmissable natural treasures in Occitania.
