30 signposted trails offer an ideal way to explore the viaducts and gorges of the Viaur, Tarn and Aveyron rivers. Other places of interest include the Château de Bosc where Toulouse-Lautrec spent his childhood holidays and the towns of Albi, Millau and Laguiole. Visit the famous Roquefort cheese cellars and sample the local delicacy: tripoux.This well appointed site offers a wide range of facilities including a small fishing lake, a heated pool with jacuzzi and sandy beach and, of course, a paddling pool.

A 25-minute drive from the campsite, Cap Découverte offers 250 acres of outdoor activities and makes for an unforgettable family day out. You can also head out to sample some of the Aveyron’s wonderful food and drink or perhaps explore its fascinating historical heritage with a visit to the listed village of Sauveterre de Rouergue, surely one of the most beautiful in France. Ask at reception for more information, tickets and a leaflet about the park.

Whether you prefer roach or carp, you’ll find a multitude of different fish species – and everything else you need for a fine day’s fishing – at Le Lac de Bonnefon. Other local sights include the world-famous Millau Viaduct, which is well worth a visit, and a host of other local attractions including the Roquefort cheese cellars and the Château du Bosc. There’s certainly no shortage of things to see and do in Aveyron! And if fishing is your favourite form of relaxation, you’ll be pleased to learn that the campsite will be organising a taster event to mark France’s annual Fête de la Pêche fishing week.
