Camping Le Riviera - A long sandy beach in the Lower Ardeche

Located not far from the celebrated Pont d’Arc, at the start of the Ardèche gorges, with a long sandy beach the campsite provides a range of white-water sports including canoeing, kayaking and canyoning along with other outdoor pursuits such as climbing, mountain biking and pot-holing. In July and August a team of activity leaders run clubs for children aged five upwards.

The babbling waters of a river teeming with life: what better place for an afternoon’s fishing? Set close to a river ideal for an afternoon’s quiet fishing, La Riviera is the ideal holiday destination. Come and sample the joys of the Ardèche with its unspoilt countryside and local colour such as the nearby town of Vallon-Pont-d’Arc. Finally, the anglers among you will relish the chance to pit your skills against the opposition in a fishing competition organised by Isabelle and Nicolas, the sites managers, to mark France’s annual Fête de la Pêche fishing week.

Canoe/kayak

Confirmed canoeist/kayaker or complete newbie, there’s nothing like a river outing with family and friends – and this route through the quiet and unspoilt countryside at the gateway to the Ardèche gorges is no exception. With options from 8 to 32 km between Sampzon and Sauze via Vallon-Pont-d’Arc and Châmes, it includes several downhill sections with gentle slides and rapids as well as passing beneath the legendary Pont d’Arc. A fun and refreshing way to pass the time day during your stay with us.
